Insights Overview¶
NEW: Insights Overview is currently in limited release. If your organisation does not yet have access, contact your Customer Success Manager to learn more.
The Overview tab under Insights provides a snapshot of your loyalty programme's health and campaign activity. Use it to monitor key business metrics and track which campaigns are currently running or scheduled to launch.
Business Health¶
Daily refreshed business and loyalty metrics.
Each metric card displays the current value, a percentage change compared to the same period last year (โ increase, โ decrease), and a 180-day trend line chart divided into 6 x 30 day periods. The chart plots two lines: This year (blue) vs. Last year (orange), giving a clear view of year-on-year performance.
๐ก All metrics refresh once per day. The values always reflect the most recent completed day. ๐ก Loyalty customers are a general term for customers who are registered to a loyalty scheme. These are in some cases considered as members, but this is not always the case.
Loyalty Sales¶
The total basket value of all purchases made by loyalty customers in the last 30 days.
This metric counts the full transaction value of purchases where the customer was identified as a loyalty customer at checkout โ not just the portion covered by a discount or reward. It does not include purchases made by non-customers. Sales value is after discounts are deducted, while value of bonus earnings are not included. Value of bonus burn is included.
Loyalty Sales Share¶
The percentage of total store sales attributed to loyalty customers in the last 30 days.
This is calculated as Loyalty Sales รท Total sales ร 100. A higher share indicates that a greater proportion of overall revenue is generated by loyalty customers.
If Lobyco do not receive non-customer sales Loyalty Sales Share cannot be provided, and this will leave the metric card blank. If you would like to have non-customer sales included reach out to your Lobyco team for advise.
Loyalty Investment Share¶
The share of loyalty sales that is returned to loyalty customers in the form of benefits, calculated as Loyalty Investment รท Loyalty Sales ร 100.
Loyalty Investment covers loyalty customer-specific discounts โ such as Personal Offers and App Offers โ plus bonus value earned by loyalty customers in the last 30 days. It does not include operational or marketing costs outside of customer-facing benefits.
Use this metric to monitor the cost efficiency of your loyalty programme. The share represents the proportion of loyalty sales being returned to customers as benefits.
- Rising share โ your sales hooks are becoming more expensive, as a greater percentage of loyalty sales is being returned to customers as rewards and discounts.
- Falling share โ your programme may not be attractive enough to drive engagement.
If Lobyco do not receive coupon data with purchase data, Loyalty Investment Share cannot be provided, and this will leave the metric card blank. If you would like to have coupon data included in purchase data, reach out to your Lobyco team for advice.
Active Loyalty Customer¶
The average number of loyalty customers who made at least one purchase within any rolling 7-day window, measured over the last 30 days.
A customer is counted as "active" on any given day if they purchased within the preceding 7 days. This card shows the average of those daily active-customer counts across the 30-day period. It is not a count of unique customers who purchased exactly once in 30 days.
Active Loyalty Customer Share¶
The share of active loyalty customers out of the total loyalty customer base, over the last 30 days.
Calculated as Active Loyalty Customers รท total loyalty customers ร 100. This measures engagement within the loyalty programme itself โ it does not compare loyalty customers against all store customers.
Revenue Per Loyalty Customer¶
The average revenue generated per active loyalty customer in the last 30 days, calculated as average basket value ร average purchase frequency.
This metric reflects the spending intensity of active customers. It is scoped to active loyalty customers only and is not an average across all loyalty customers or all store customers.
