Campaigns overview

Version note: This documentation reflects the current version of the Nexus platform. If you are using an older version, some features or views described here may not be available, or may behave differently. In that case, please consult your Lobyco contact to discuss upgrading to the latest version.

Campaigns are the central way to plan, run, and manage Promotions, App Communication, and Segmentation in the Nexus platform.

A campaign brings together targeting, activities, and timing in one place. The same campaign can be viewed and managed through different perspectives, depending on what you want to do.

This page introduces the campaign concept and how campaigns are represented in the platform.

What is a campaign

A campaign is a single, reusable object that serves as the starting point for all promotional and communication activity in Nexus, bringing together how members are targeted, which activities they see, and when and how those activities run.

Within a campaign you can:

  • Define segments for which members should be included
  • Create and manage activities such as games, challenges, offers, banners, feed items, prompts, or push notifications
  • Control when and how often those activities run
  • Build flows - two or more connected blocks on the Orchestration canvas - to model customer journeys through which the members go

Inside a campaign, the flows can run once, scheduled to run repeatedly, or be triggered by events. This supports both one-off initiatives and ongoing, automated engagement.

Note: The previous standalone product pages, including Games, Challenges, Banners, and Feeds, are now integrated into the Campaigns workflow. During the transition period, they remain accessible in the Toolbox in read-only mode. New activities should be created through Campaigns. These pages will be deprecated over time.

Campaign views

Each campaign can be accessed through three complementary views. All views represent the same campaign.

  • List view for managing campaigns and activities
  • Calendar view for planning activities over time
  • Orchestration view for building and understanding campaign logic

You can switch between views at any time. Changes made in one view are reflected in the others.

How campaigns are used

Campaigns can be used in different ways, depending on your needs:

  • Plan and manage activities within a defined period

  • Run recurring campaigns that evaluate members regularly

  • Coordinate multiple activities that work together

  • Maintain a clear overview of what is running and when

You do not choose a campaign type up front. A campaign’s purpose is defined by the elements you add after it is created.
