Match Matrix

A fast, mobile-first puzzle game where players swap tiles to create matches of three or more. Each match clears tiles and scores points, while chain reactions and combos increase the total score.

Match Matrix supports three ways to define the visual style of your tiles: default icons, emojis, and custom images

Built in options

Built in asset libraries include:

  • Icons

    • Customize icon colors directly in the platform
      ​

  • Emojis

    • Choose from a predefined emoji set

    • Or define your own emoji selection

These options are quick to set up and automatically optimized for the game layout.

Custom images*

Upload 5 custom images to use as tile icons. This gives you full creative control - you can use product images, brand mascots, or any visual that fits your campaign.

  • Quantity: 5

  • Accepted formats: .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .webp

  • Aspect ratio: 1:1 square

  • Recommended size: 160 × 160 px

  • All 5 images must be unique!

The game is fully responsive. This means the grid and all assets automatically scale down to fit the player’s device - whether desktop, tablet, or mobile.

Game styling

Match Matrix includes several styling options that allow you to adjust the look and feel of the game.

Grid Layout

Players can interact with the board in two ways:

  1. Tap to select - Tap a tile to select it, then tap an adjacent tile to swap them

  2. Swipe/drag - Press and drag a tile in any direction (up, down, left, right) to swap it with its neighbor

You can customize the layout of the tiles:

  • Tile border radius: Control the roundness of each tile. Set to 50% for fully circular tiles.

  • Tile background color: The default background color of each tile

  • Selected tile color - The highlight color when a player taps a tile to select it

Points Layout

Customize the floating points bubbles that appear above matched tiles:

  • Points text color - The color of the score number

  • Points background color - The bubble background color

Make sure the text color and background color provide strong contrast to maintain readability.
